La actividad física como estrategia para mejorar el rendimiento académico y el bienestar socioemocional de los estudiantes

La actividad física constituye una estrategia educativa fundamental para promover el desarrollo integral de los estudiantes, debido a sus beneficios en el ámbito cognitivo, académico y socioemocional. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar, a partir de la evidencia científica publicada entre 2005 y 2025, la influencia de la actividad física en el rendimiento académico y el bienestar socioemocional de los estudiantes. La investigación se desarrolló mediante una revisión sistemática de literatura con enfoque cualitativo descriptivo y apoyo cuantitativo, siguiendo los lineamientos de la declaración PRISMA 2020. Se analizaron 21 artículos científicos publicados entre 2005 y 2025, recuperados de bases de datos como Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, PubMed, ERIC y Google Scholar. Los hallazgos evidencian que la práctica regular de actividad física favorece el desarrollo de funciones cognitivas como la atención, la memoria y la concentración, contribuyendo positivamente al rendimiento académico. Asimismo, se identificó que la actividad física fortalece la autoestima, la regulación emocional, las habilidades sociales y la salud mental, reduciendo niveles de estrés, ansiedad y síntomas depresivos. Se concluye que la incorporación sistemática de actividades físicas en los contextos educativos representa una estrategia eficaz para mejorar el aprendizaje, el bienestar socioemocional y la calidad de vida de los estudiantes.
