Open Access

This journal operates under an open access model and is published following an academic, non-profit approach, with the purpose of contributing to the dissemination and development of scientific knowledge.

All contents are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which allows free, immediate, and permanent access to the articles, as well as their use, distribution, and reuse for any lawful purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to the authors and the original source of publication.

Digital Preservation Policy

In order to ensure the long-term preservation, integrity, and permanent availability of the published scholarly content, Sage Sphere of Technology, Sciences, Discoveries and Society / Esfera Sabia: Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad adopts a formal digital preservation policy, aligned with international standards and best editorial practices.

The journal implements the following preservation strategies:

• Periodic backup copies of editorial servers and journal files.

• Continuous updating of the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to prevent technological obsolescence and facilitate future system migrations.

• Assignment of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to all published articles, ensuring persistent identification and academic traceability.

• Storage of contents in multiple formats (PDF, HTML, and XML-JATS), promoting interoperability, accessibility, and digital preservation.

In addition, the journal actively participates in the international distributed digital preservation networks LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS, which enable decentralized storage of content across collaborating libraries, ensuring content recovery in the event of technical failures or loss of information from the original servers.
