Impact of artificial intelligence on the quality, inclusion, and innovation of educational processes

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a technology with a significant influence on the transformation of educational systems due to its ability to improve teaching and learning processes through personalization, automation, and academic data analysis. This study aimed to analyze the impact of artificial intelligence on the quality, inclusion, and innovation of educational processes through a systematic review of scientific literature. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines for the identification, selection, and analysis of academic studies. The literature search was carried out in scientific databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, IEEE Xplore, ERIC, SciELO, and Google Scholar, considering publications from 2020 to 2026. After the identification, screening, and eligibility assessment process, 23 studies were selected for the final analysis. The findings showed that artificial intelligence contributes to improving educational quality through adaptive systems, personalized learning, and intelligent assessment processes. Likewise, AI demonstrated potential to promote educational inclusion through accessibility tools and support mechanisms for students with diverse learning needs; however, challenges related to the digital divide, algorithmic bias, and data protection remain. Furthermore, AI represents an important driver of educational innovation by transforming teaching methodologies and redefining the teacher’s role as a technological mediator and critical learning facilitator. It is concluded that artificial intelligence constitutes a strategic tool for improving educational systems, provided that its implementation is guided by ethical, pedagogical, and equity-based principles.
