Pensamiento crítico y resolución de problemas en la enseñanza de la química: una revisión sistemática

La enseñanza de la química requiere superar los métodos tradicionales centrados en la memorización, para promover competencias como el pensamiento crítico, la metacognición y la resolución de problemas. Estas habilidades permiten que los estudiantes analicen información, interpreten evidencias y construyan explicaciones científicas fundamentadas.
El estudio se desarrolló mediante una revisión sistemática de literatura, con enfoque cualitativo y apoyo cuantitativo descriptivo. Se siguieron los lineamientos del modelo PRISMA 2020 para identificar, seleccionar y analizar artículos científicos publicados entre 2008 y 2024 en bases de datos académicas. La muestra final estuvo conformada por 12 artículos científicos relacionados con educación química, pensamiento crítico, metacognición, andamiaje y metodologías activas.
Los hallazgos evidencian que el pensamiento crítico mejora cuando se enseña de manera explícita mediante actividades de análisis, argumentación y reflexión. Asimismo, la resolución de problemas abiertos, el andamiaje metacognitivo y las metodologías activas como STEAM-PjBL favorecen una comprensión más profunda de la química.
Se concluye que la enseñanza de la química debe orientarse hacia estrategias activas y contextualizadas que permitan al estudiante razonar, justificar respuestas y aplicar conocimientos científicos en situaciones reales.
