Gestión universitaria basada en datos: estrategias para la toma de decisiones inteligentes en instituciones de educación superior

Resumen

La transformación digital modificó significativamente la manera en que las instituciones de educación superior organizaron sus procesos académicos, administrativos y financieros, al generar grandes volúmenes de información sobre el rendimiento estudiantil, la permanencia, la gestión docente, el uso de recursos y la calidad de los servicios educativos. El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar las estrategias de gestión universitaria basada en datos y su contribución a la toma de decisiones inteligentes, mediante la identificación de sus principales herramientas, aplicaciones, beneficios y desafíos. Para ello, se realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura conforme a las directrices de la declaración PRISMA 2020, que permitió seleccionar, organizar y sintetizar rigurosamente la evidencia científica disponible. El corpus final estuvo constituido por 27 artículos relacionados con la analítica académica, los sistemas de información, la inteligencia de negocios, los modelos predictivos y la gobernanza de datos. Los resultados evidenciaron que la gestión orientada por datos favoreció la identificación temprana de riesgos académicos, la planificación curricular, la eficiencia administrativa y la optimización de recursos. Se concluyó que su implementación fortaleció la toma de decisiones institucionales; sin embargo, requirió información confiable, personal capacitado, infraestructura tecnológica y políticas que garantizaran la privacidad, la seguridad y el uso ético de los datos universitarios.
