Toma de decisiones institucionales inteligentes en la educación superior: estrategias basadas en datos para la transformación de la gestión universitaria

Resumen

Las instituciones de educación superior se desenvolvieron en un escenario caracterizado por la transformación digital y la generación constante de información derivada de sus procesos académicos, administrativos y financieros. En este contexto, los datos sobre rendimiento estudiantil, permanencia universitaria, gestión docente, utilización de recursos y calidad de los servicios adquirieron un valor estratégico para la gestión institucional. El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar cómo las estrategias basadas en datos contribuyeron a la toma de decisiones institucionales inteligentes en la educación superior, mediante la identificación de sus principales herramientas, aplicaciones, beneficios y desafíos. Se desarrolló una revisión sistemática de la literatura conforme a las directrices de la declaración PRISMA 2020. La búsqueda se realizó en Scopus, Web of Science y SciELO, considerando inclusión y exclusión, el corpus final quedó conformado por 24 estudios científicos. Los resultados evidenciaron que los sistemas de información, la analítica académica, los tableros de control, los modelos predictivos y las alertas tempranas fortalecieron la planificación, el seguimiento estudiantil y la optimización de los recursos. Sin embargo, se identificaron desafíos relacionados con la fragmentación de los sistemas, las competencias digitales, la resistencia al cambio, la privacidad y la gobernanza de los datos. Se concluyó que la gestión basada en datos constituyó un enfoque estratégico para transformar la gestión universitaria, siempre que combinara tecnologías adecuadas, información confiable, capacidades institucionales, criterio humano y principios éticos.
