Desarrollo de un sistema IoT para automatizar la iluminación, climatización y equipos eléctricos en un establecimiento comercial de Shushufindi

establecimiento comercial “El Gato Boutique”, ubicado en el cantón Shushufindi (Sucumbíos, Ecuador), opera con gestión manual de la climatización, iluminación y equipos eléctricos, lo que genera oportunidades de mejora en el uso de la energía. El objetivo fue desarrollar un sistema basado en Internet de las Cosas (IoT) para automatizar dichos subsistemas según demanda y horarios establecidos. Se aplicó una investigación aplicada con enfoque proyectivo-descriptivo. Mediante un diagnóstico in situ se caracterizó una carga instalada de 4,622 W y se estableció como línea base el consumo facturado de 2025 (18,052 kWh). Se diseñó una arquitectura centralizada con Arduino Nano, sensores SCT-013 y ZMPT101B, multiplexación analógica, protocolo MQTT y plataforma Node-RED, cuya funcionalidad se verificó mediante simulación en Wokwi y pruebas de la interfaz de supervisión. Debido a que no se realizó una implementación física con mediciones posteriores, el efecto energético se analizó como un escenario proyectado: se adoptó un coeficiente de ahorro del 25 % sustentado en antecedentes bibliográficos, equivalente a 4,513 kWh/año. Con una tarifa marginal de 0.103 USD/kWh, el ahorro económico proyectado es de USD 464.84/año; para un CAPEX de USD 234.50, el PRI es de 0.50 años (6.05 meses) y el ROI del primer año es de 98.23 %. Bajo estos supuestos, la propuesta presenta viabilidad funcional a nivel de simulación y viabilidad financiera proyectada, cuya magnitud deberá comprobarse mediante una implementación física y seguimiento del consumo.
