Open Access and Digital Preservation Policy
Open Access
Sage Sphere in Artificial Intelligence (SSAI) operates under an open-access model and is published with an academic, interdisciplinary, and non-profit approach, with the aim of promoting the dissemination, exchange, and strengthening of scientific knowledge across diverse fields.
All content published by the journal is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows free, immediate, and permanent access to articles, as well as their use, distribution, and reuse for lawful purposes, provided that proper credit is given to the authors and the original source of publication.
Digital Preservation Policy
In order to ensure the long-term preservation, integrity, accessibility, and availability of published scientific content, Sage Sphere in Artificial Intelligence (SSAI) adopts a formal digital preservation policy aligned with international standards and best editorial practices.
The journal implements the following preservation strategies:
Periodic backups of servers and editorial files to prevent data loss.
Continuous updating of the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to avoid technological obsolescence and facilitate future migration processes.
Assignment of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to all published articles, ensuring persistent identification, citability, and academic traceability.
Storage of content in multiple digital formats (PDF, HTML, and XML-JATS), promoting interoperability, open access, and long-term preservation.
Additionally, the journal participates in international distributed digital preservation networks such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS, as well as the PKP (Public Knowledge Project) Preservation Network. These systems enable decentralized storage of content across participating libraries and ensure its recovery in the event of technical failures or data loss on the original servers.
