The journal is an interdisciplinary, open-access scientific journal focused on higher education, aimed at the dissemination of original and unpublished works that integrate scientific, technological, and social perspectives, with particular emphasis on their impact on education, innovation, development, and society.
Types of Manuscripts Accepted
Original Articles
These present original results derived from empirical, experimental, or theoretical research, constituting new, relevant, and verifiable contributions to scientific knowledge in the field of interdisciplinary higher education.
They are based on primary data obtained through surveys, interviews, experiments, case studies, theoretical models, or fieldwork.
Length: 3,000 to 6,500 words.
Mandatory structure: Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and References.
Literature Review Articles
These correspond to critical and interpretative analyses of relevant scientific literature on a specific topic within interdisciplinary higher education.
They do not require a strictly systematic methodology; however, they must include a clear description of the sources consulted and an argumentative approach that integrates, contrasts, and discusses the main theoretical and conceptual contributions.
Length: 3,500 to 7,500 words.
Suggested structure: Abstract, Introduction, Thematic Development, Discussion, Conclusions, and References.
Systematic Review Articles
These consist of a rigorous and methodologically structured synthesis of the available scientific literature on a clearly defined research question, aimed at integrating evidence, identifying knowledge gaps, and generating relevant contributions to interdisciplinary higher education.
Manuscripts must strictly apply the PRISMA method (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) and explicitly describe:
-
the databases consulted;
-
the search strategies used;
-
the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the studies;
-
the procedures for data analysis and synthesis.
The inclusion of a PRISMA flow diagram is mandatory, which may be created using the PRISMA Flow Diagram Generator or any equivalent graphical tool.
Length: 3,500 to 5,500 words.
Mandatory structure: Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and References.
Essay Articles
These correspond to reflective, critical, and argumentative academic works in which the author develops a theoretical or interpretative position on issues, contemporary debates, or relevant conceptual approaches in interdisciplinary higher education.
They do not present empirical results or systematic reviews but must be supported by relevant scientific literature, demonstrating conceptual rigor, argumentative coherence, and originality.
Length: 2,500 to 6,500 words.
Suggested structure: Abstract, Introduction, Argumentative Development, Discussion, Conclusions, and References.
Editorial Process and Evaluation
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous editorial process, including an initial screening by the editor to verify alignment with the journal’s scope, the quality of academic language, textual coherence, clarity of tables and figures, compliance with ethical standards, and the detection of similarity or plagiarism.
Manuscripts that pass this stage are evaluated by external academic peers through a double-blind peer review process, ensuring the confidentiality of both authors and reviewers.
Possible editorial decisions include: acceptance, acceptance with revisions, resubmission for further evaluation, or rejection.
