Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Author Guidelines

Sage Sphere International Journal (SSIJ) welcomes various types of articles including research studies, original reports, and literature reviews that span from foundational concepts to practical applications in the field of education. To be considered for publication, manuscripts must align with the aims and scope of the journal.

The editor will conduct a preliminary review of the manuscript to evaluate its relevance to the journal's focus, the quality of the language, the clarity of figures, and to detect potential cases of plagiarism.

Manuscript Submission: Articles must be submitted using the Word template available for download on the journal's platform. Only original work that has not been previously published or is not under review elsewhere will be accepted. All manuscripts will undergo double-blind peer review and must be submitted exclusively through the OJS (Open Journal System).


Submission Requirements:

  • The manuscript must be in DOC or DOCX format and follow the official template.

  • Authorship contribution declaration (download the Word file from the platform).

  • Article originality statement.

  • Informed consent form.


Types of Articles:

  • Research Articles: Should present significant advancements in the field of education and be between 3,000 and 6,500 words. They must follow a specific structure that includes abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion.

  • Review Articles: Summaries of interdisciplinary advances that offer new research proposals, ranging between 3,500 and 7,500 words.


Manuscript Format:

  • Submit the manuscript in DOCX format using Times New Roman, size 12.

  • Abstract: Times New Roman, size 11.

  • Main text (Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions): Times New Roman, size 12.

  • References: Times New Roman, size 11.

  • Research articles: 3,000–6,500 words; Review articles: 3,500–7,500 words.


Abstract:

A clear and concise abstract is required, including the article's objectives, key findings, and conclusions. The abstract must be self-contained and not depend on the main text. Abbreviations should be explained the first time they appear.


Keywords:

After the abstract, include 3 to 4 keywords. Avoid overly general terms or multi-concept keywords. These keywords will assist in the indexing of the article.


Article Structure:

The manuscript should be organized into clearly defined sections with specific titles. Subsections should have concise headings and be properly aligned.


Reference Style:

At the time of submission, references must follow APA 7th edition guidelines. In-text citations should include the author's last name and the publication year. The reference list at the end of the manuscript should follow APA format, ensuring all authors, titles, sources, and dates are accurately formatted.


Figures and Tables:

Must be formatted according to the guidelines in the provided DOCX template.


Manuscript Review:

When a manuscript is returned for revisions, authors must include a response letter detailing how they addressed each of the reviewers’ comments and specifying the changes made to the article.


Final Format:

  • Title and abstract must follow the format of the provided template.

  • Keywords: 3 to 4.

  • Article length: 3,000–6,500 words for research articles; 3,500–7,500 words for review articles (excluding references and abstract).

  • References must be in a format appropriate for academic journals.
