Objective
The journal Sage Sphere Higher Education (SSHE) aims to consolidate itself as an international academic space for the dissemination of original, rigorous, and unpublished scientific research in the field of higher education, from an interdisciplinary perspective. The journal is oriented toward the generation, critical analysis, and circulation of theoretical, methodological, and empirical knowledge that contributes to the understanding, improvement, and innovation of educational processes, pedagogical practices, institutional management, academic leadership, and educational policies in universities and other higher education institutions, with regional and international projection.
SSHE is published under an open-access, non-commercial, and free-of-charge publishing model; therefore, it does not apply article processing charges or fees associated with manuscript submission, editorial evaluation, peer review, editing, publication, or access to contents. All published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), guaranteeing recognition of intellectual authorship, the free circulation of scientific knowledge, and the responsible use of academic contents.
Focus
Sage Sphere Higher Education adopts an interdisciplinary focus that recognizes the complexity of educational phenomena at the higher education level and promotes the integration of theoretical, methodological, and epistemological perspectives from diverse fields of knowledge. This approach fosters academic dialogue among disciplines such as education sciences, social sciences, educational management and administration, psychology, sociology, economics of education, educational technologies, and public policy studies, in order to comprehensively address contemporary challenges in higher education.
The journal encourages research that articulates different conceptual and methodological frameworks, as well as studies that critically analyze institutional, pedagogical, and regulatory transformations affecting the quality, equity, relevance, and innovation of higher education in diverse contexts.

The journal has an international geographic scope and is addressed to researchers, university faculty members, graduate students, educational managers, academic authorities, public policy decision-makers, and professionals interested in the scientific study of higher education. SSHE promotes the participation of authors from different regions of the world, with special attention to Latin America and the Caribbean, without limiting its global projection.
Methodology and Editorial Processes
SSHE accepts original manuscripts developed through quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methodological approaches, as well as theoretical studies, systematic reviews, critical analyses, and methodological proposals related to higher education. All submitted works are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process, ensuring scientific quality, methodological rigor, originality, thematic relevance, academic ethics, and editorial transparency, in accordance with the editorial policies of Editorial JOGB.
Periodicity and Continuous Publication
The journal Sage Sphere Higher Education has an annual periodicity under a continuous publication model, maintaining a permanent call for manuscript submissions. Accepted articles are published progressively as the editorial evaluation and peer review stages are successfully completed.
Open Access and Free-of-Charge Policy
This journal operates under an open-access model and is published with an academic and non-profit orientation, with the aim of contributing to the dissemination and development of scientific knowledge.
All contents are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows free, immediate, and permanent access to the articles, as well as their use, distribution, and reuse for lawful purposes, provided that proper credit is given to the authors and the original source of publication.
The journal does not charge fees for submission, evaluation, processing, or publication of manuscripts (APC), reaffirming its commitment to the democratization of scientific knowledge, academic equity, and the elimination of economic barriers for authors and readers.
Editorial Process and Evaluation Timelines
The editorial process is managed entirely in electronic format, following principles of quality, transparency, and good editorial practices, and includes the following approximate timelines:
• Initial editorial evaluation: between 7 and 15 days, depending on the complexity of the manuscript.
• External peer review (double blind): between 20 and 45 days.
• Revision, editing, layout, and publication: between 10 and 20 days.
The editorial team ensures a balance between academic rigor in the review process and efficient editorial management, promoting the timely publication of accepted works.
Editorial Management, Sustainability, and Operating Principles
This is a scientific journal edited and managed by Editorial JOGB, the entity responsible for editorial coordination, administration of the peer review process, technological infrastructure, and digital preservation of published contents.
The journal operates under a non-commercial open-access model for authors, guaranteeing that no fees are applied for submission, evaluation, processing, or publication of manuscripts. This model aims to promote the free dissemination of scientific knowledge, without economic barriers for authors or readers.
Editorial sustainability is based on the institutional management of the publishing house, the academic work of the editorial team and external reviewers, and the use of digital editorial management platforms, in accordance with principles of editorial ethics, transparency, academic independence, and international best practices.
Editorial decisions are adopted autonomously and independently, based exclusively on the scientific quality, originality, thematic relevance, and methodological rigor of manuscripts, without influence from economic, institutional, or commercial interests.
