This study analyzes the effect of academic motivational events on entrepreneurial intention among participants linked to the university and entrepreneurial ecosystem, based on the case of the Emprendex program developed at the State University of Milagro during 2025. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design without a control group was adopted, applying validated entrepreneurial intention scales to a sample of 400 participants. The internal consistency of the scales was adequate (α > 0.86). The results revealed a statistically significant increase in entrepreneurial intention after participation in the events (t = 18.74; p < .001), with stronger effects among participants without prior entrepreneurial experience. Additionally, multiple linear regression analysis showed that event perception was the main explanatory factor of the observed change (R² = 0.58). The findings suggest that academic events can function as effective mechanisms for knowledge transfer, experiential learning, and the strengthening of entrepreneurial culture in higher education. The study concludes that this type of extracurricular intervention represents a viable institutional strategy for fostering entrepreneurial capabilities in Latin American university contexts.
