Inteligencia artificial y aprendizaje del idioma inglés: fortalecimiento de la educación en la era digital

La inteligencia artificial se ha convertido en un recurso valioso para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje del inglés al proporcionar práctica interactiva, retroalimentación inmediata y actividades personalizadas. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar la contribución de las aplicaciones basadas en inteligencia artificial al aprendizaje del inglés en la era digital. Se realizó una revisión integrativa de la literatura siguiendo las etapas de identificación, cribado, elegibilidad e inclusión de PRISMA 2020. Se incluyeron dieciséis estudios publicados entre 2020 y 2026: siete primarios y nueve secundarios o conceptuales. Los hallazgos abordaron chatbots, inteligencia artificial conversacional, reconocimiento automático del habla, pronunciación, expresión oral, comprensión auditiva, escritura, vocabulario, gramática, factores afectivos, aprendizaje personalizado e implicaciones éticas. Los resultados indicaron que estas herramientas pueden mejorar la pronunciación, fluidez, vocabulario, precisión gramatical, escritura, motivación, autonomía y disposición para comunicarse. Sin embargo, su efectividad depende del tipo de herramienta, nivel lingüístico, duración de la intervención y orientación docente. También se identificaron respuestas inexactas, problemas de privacidad, sesgos algorítmicos, acceso desigual y dependencia tecnológica. Se concluye que la inteligencia artificial puede fortalecer el aprendizaje del inglés cuando se integra ética y sistemáticamente como complemento de la enseñanza docente y la interacción humana.
