Aim

Sage Sphere of Technology, Sciences, Discoveries and Society / Esfera Sabia: Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad is a multidisciplinary, open-access, and free-of-charge scientific journal whose aim is to disseminate original research articles, review papers, and academic essays, peer-reviewed, that critically and interdisciplinarily examine the interactions between science, technology, and society.

The journal is oriented toward the publication of studies that analyze the scientific, social, ethical, educational, economic, and cultural impacts of scientific and technological development, promoting critical thinking, applied research, responsible innovation, and informed decision-making with academic and social impact.

Open Access and No-Fee Policy

This journal operates under an Open Access model and is edited under a non-profit academic approach, with the aim of contributing to the dissemination and development of scientific knowledge.

All contents are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which allows free, open, and permanent access to the articles, as well as their use, distribution, and reuse for lawful purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the authors and the original source of publication.

The journal does not charge submission, evaluation, processing, or publication fees (Article Processing Charges – APCs), reaffirming its commitment to the democratization of scientific knowledge, academic equity, and the elimination of economic barriers for authors and readers.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published on an annual basis, with permanently open calls for submissions.

Articles are published according to the established editorial calendar once they have successfully completed the peer-review process.

Editorial Process and Review Timelines

The editorial process is conducted entirely in electronic format, following principles of quality, transparency, and good editorial practices, and includes the following approximate timelines:

  • Initial editorial evaluation: 7 to 15 days, depending on manuscript complexity.
  • External peer review (double-blind): 20 to 45 days.
  • Revision, editing, layout, and publication: 10 to 20 days.

The editorial team ensures a balance between academic rigor in the review process and efficient editorial management, facilitating the timely publication of accepted manuscripts.

Promotion and Dissemination Strategy

The journal implements an academic and digital dissemination strategy, promoting published articles through its website, academic networks, digital platforms, institutional repositories, and other scientific communication channels, with the aim of increasing visibility, academic impact, and knowledge circulation at national and international levels.

Esfera Sabia: Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad is a scientific journal edited and managed by Editorial JOGB S.A.S., the entity responsible for editorial coordination, administration of the peer-review process, technological infrastructure, and digital preservation of published content.

The journal operates under a non-commercial open-access model for authors, ensuring that no fees are applied for manuscript submission, evaluation, processing, or publication. This model aims to promote the free dissemination of scientific knowledge, without economic barriers for authors or readers.

Editorial sustainability is based on the institutional management of the publisher, the academic work of the editorial team and external reviewers, and the use of digital editorial management platforms, in accordance with principles of editorial ethics, transparency, academic independence, and international best practices.

All editorial decisions are made autonomously and independently, based exclusively on the scientific quality, originality, thematic relevance, and methodological rigor of the manuscripts, without influence from economic, institutional, or commercial interests.
