Abstract

This article analyzes the role of the family in early childhood education learning through a documentary review of recent scientific studies. The family is considered the first educational agent, as it directly influences the child’s cognitive, emotional, and social development. The reviewed evidence shows that active parental involvement in the educational process improves academic performance, motivation, and school adaptation. Likewise, constant communication between family and school strengthens pedagogical support and allows early identification of learning difficulties. The analyzed studies also indicate that a supportive and stable family environment contributes to the development of self-esteem, security, and social skills during early childhood. In contrast, the lack of family involvement may lead to emotional difficulties and low academic performance. In conclusion, the coordination between family and school is essential to ensure meaningful learning and comprehensive development in early childhood education, highlighting the need to promote strategies that enhance parental participation in the educational process.
