Abstract

Mathematics education faces the challenge of incorporating innovative strategies that move beyond traditional models based on memorization and promote deeper learning processes. In this context, visual mathematics represents an educational alternative that integrates graphic representations, digital resources, visual narratives, and artificial intelligence to strengthen meaningful learning in the 21st century.

A systematic literature review was conducted using a qualitative approach and descriptive scope, following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Scientific publications from 2022 to 2026 were analyzed from academic databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, ERIC, and Google Scholar. After the identification, screening, and eligibility processes, 19 studies were selected for documentary analysis.

The findings showed that strategies based on mathematical visualization, digital tools, artificial intelligence, interactive models, and audiovisual narratives enhance conceptual understanding, spatial thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, the integration of technology requires pedagogical support and teachers’ digital competencies.

Visual mathematics represents an innovative strategy for transforming mathematics learning through more dynamic, accessible, and meaningful experiences. The integration of digital and visual resources provides opportunities to design educational environments aligned with the demands of the 21st century.
