The purpose of this research was to analyze contextualized pedagogical strategies used in the teaching of real numbers and their influence on conceptual understanding, logical thinking, and student motivation. The study was conducted using a mixed-method approach with qualitative predominance and a systematic literature review design based on the PRISMA model. Research published between 2000 and 2023 was analyzed from academic databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, Redalyc, and SpringerLink. After the selection and methodological evaluation process, 18 scientific studies were included in the final analysis.
The findings revealed that strategies such as contextualized problem-solving, mathematical modeling, graphical representations, and collaborative learning significantly enhance the understanding of real numbers and strengthen meaningful learning. Likewise, mathematical contextualization was found to improve student participation and facilitate the connection between abstract concepts and everyday situations. It is concluded that the teaching of real numbers requires didactic approaches focused on real-life experiences, applied reasoning, and active construction of mathematical knowledge.
